Public baths played an important role in Iran. They were the weekly meeting point of men and women (each separated) and have been used as a place for social communication.Today the few public baths which exist are mostly in traditional areas. The visitors today are traditional old men or they who have little money. Besides taking a bath they drop by for fun or they want to socialize.
